Hmmmm what is scarey? Well to me, a creepy forest at night, and you can't place that sound, and why am I there anyway!?!? The movie that has always creeped me out is Blair Witch Project. It sets you up for a scarefest in the forest.
Now in the book realm I would go with H. P. Lovecraft everytime. Try The Colour Out Of Space. I suggest you try them all. H.P. Lovecraft complete and unabridged hard back can be found at Barnes and Noble.
Want something a little more adult and unsettling? Richard Laymon is the author for youuuuuu.
Brian Keene can bring zombies to life in a very REAL and risk taking way, try The Rising followed by City Of The Dead.
What? What's that? You want to watch a movie that's just a bit different? Hmmmmm
try Mum And Dad
May
The Cottage
Laid To Rest
if one of those doesn't get your goat then I am sorry you are too jaded for Horror;)
Remember to sign up for the Gothic doll on that post and the zombie hand on the OCT 1 post, I feel more giveaways trembling to arise...stay tuned......static....weird noises....thumping.....
